We learned in our early classes that there are nine planets in the solar system that revolve around the sun at fixed distances. At that time, we also studied about the planet Saturn. Today, we will delve into how Saturn is understood in astrology.

Saturn, being the farthest from the Sun, is the coldest planet in the solar system. Due to its distance, it receives very little sunlight, which keeps it perpetually cold. In astrology, those dominated by Saturn tend to have fewer emotions or express them less openly.

Materials that take a long time to form, like oil, coal, and various minerals, fall under Saturn's domain. Therefore, Saturn governs these resources.

Saturn is considered the significator of delay, so any task that progresses slowly in our bodies, such as bone healing, is linked to Saturn.

According to a mythological story, Saturn received a curse from his wife, causing his gaze to bring hardship to wherever it fell. Hence, people under Saturn's influence often face challenges.

Saturn affects those involved in service-related jobs in society, like laborers, household helpers, and IT professionals. These individuals are considered influenced by Saturn.
People influenced by Saturn tend to learn from their mistakes and progress slowly in life, which is why success often comes to them gradually.

अपनी आरंभिक कक्षाओं में पढ़ा था कि सौरमंडल में नौ ग्रह होते हैं जो सूर्य के चारों ओर अपनी एक निश्चिंत दूरी पर चक्कर लगाते हैं, उसी समय हमने शनि ग्रह के बारे में भी पढ़ा था। आज हम शनि ग्रह को ज्योतिष में कैसे समझा जाता है उसके बारे में जानेंगे।
शनि जो सूर्य से सबसे दूर होने के करण सबसे ठंडा ग्रह है शनि तक सूर्य की रोशनी  कम पहुंच पाती जिसकी वजह से वहां हमेशा ठंडक बनी रहती है । इसको ज्योतिष के माध्यम से हम ऐसे समझेंगे कि जो जातक शनि प्रधान होता है उसमें भावनाएँ कम होती हैं,या वह अपनी भावनाओं को कम जाहिर करता है।

सूर्य में अपनी गर्मी और रोशनी होती है जिसकी वजह से उसमें बहुत अहंकार होता है दूसरी तरफ शनि जो एक ठंडा ग्रह है
जिसमें अपनी कोई गर्मी नहीं होती है उसकी वजह से शनि प्रधान व्यक्ति विनम्र होता है और उसमें अपना अहंकार नहीं होता है।

सूर्य पूर्व दिशा में उगता है और पश्चिम में छिपता है इसलिए सूर्य की रोशनी पश्चिम दिशा तक नहीं पहुंचती और वहां पर अंधेरा होता है क्योंकि शनि तक सूर्य की रोशनी नहीं पहुंचती और वहां अंधेरा होता है इसलिए पश्चिम दिशा पर शनि का अधिकार है।

शनि ग्रहों में सबसे धीरे चलने वाला ग्रह है जो सूर्य के चारों तरफ एक चक्कर 30 वर्ष में लगाता है। अपनी गति धीरे होने की वजह से शनि लंगड़े व्यक्तियों को या  वृद्ध व्यक्तियों को दर्शाता है।

ज्योतिष में जीवन से जुड़े सभी कार्यकलापों का अधिकार अलग-अलग ग्रहों को दिया गया है । उन कार्यों में से शनि ग्रह के हिस्से में आने वाले कार्य ,जैसे जमीन से निकलने वाले पदार्थ, कोयला ,तेल ,खनिज ,खेती- बाड़ी आदि हैं। अगर इसके पीछे के रहस्य को जाने तो इसे समझना बहुत ही सरल है ।
वह सभी पदार्थ जिन्हे बनने में समय लगता है वह शनि के अधिकार में आते हैं तेल ,कोयला और दूसरे खनिज पदार्थ को बनने में सैकड़ों वर्ष लग जाते हैं इसीलिये इन पर शनि का अधिकार है।

शनि को देरी का कारक माना जाता है  इसलिए हमारे शरीर में जो भी कार्य धीरे-धीरे होता है उसे शनि से देखा जाता है जैसे हमारी हड्डियां अगर टूट जाएं तो वह अपने आप धीरे-धीरे ही जुड़ती हैं इसलिए हड्डियों पर शनि का अधिकार होता  है।

एक पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार शनि को अपनी पत्नी से श्राप मिला जिसकी वजह से उसकी दृष्टि विच्छेद कारी बन गई, अर्थात शनि की दृष्टि जहां पर भी पड़ती है वहां पर व्यक्ति को बहुत से कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ता है।
शनि उन लोगों को दिखाता है  जो समाज में किसी ना किसी तरह की सर्विस के कार्य से जुड़े हुए हैं ,जैसे मजदूर ,घर में काम करने वाले हेल्पर ,आईटी डिपार्टमेंट में काम करने वाले लोग सभी लोग शनि से प्रभावित लोग माने जाते हैं।

शनि से प्रभावित व्यक्ति अपनी गलतियों से सीख कर ही आगे बढ़ता है ,इसीलिए  उसकी जिंदगी में सफलता देरी से आती है ।
अगर हमारी कुंडली में शनि अच्छी स्थित में है तो वह हमें धन, धान्य , अच्छा स्वास्थ्य, धैर्य ,जिम्मेदारी ,परिपक्वता और बहुत कुछ देता है।

शनि एक कर्म कारक ग्रह है क्योंकि शनि को हमारे कर्मों का फल देने का अधिकार है इसलिए वह सबके साथ निष्पक्ष व्यवहार करता है अगर कोई व्यक्ति अच्छे कर्म करता है तो रंक से राजा और खराब कर्मों को करने वाले व्यक्ति को राजा से रंक बनाने का अधिकार रखता है। शनि हमे मेहनत करना सिखाता अगर हम ईमानदारी से बिना रुके लगातार कार्य को करेंगे तो शनि कभी भी हमारा बुरा नहीं करता।
